Cameron is originally from Wisconsin but has recently made her self at home in Grand Junction, Colorado. With a Bachelors in kinesiology she has been teaching fitness since 2015 and dance since 2008. She has taught at Ashland School of Dance, Move to Inspire and Absolute Dance. She has taught master classes and has been a substitute instructor at Dancer’s Edge, Dance Around, Ashland School of Dance and at Colorado Mesa University. Since 2013 Cameron has trained in a variety of styles including, ballet, modern, flamenco, jazz, tap, hip hop and ballroom with Minnesota Conservatory of the Arts, Minnesota Ballet, Estudio Danza (Spain) and Colorado Mesa University. Cameron has performed in the film “Remnants” by Ismael Ortega, the music video “The Plan" by Mount Orchid and in faculty and student dance concerts at Colorado Mesa University. Cameron has choreographed for several student productions at CMU as well as having work presented in the faculty dance concert. Her choreographic work was also featured in the “Our Souls at Night” production as well as in "Mr. Burns," main stage musical, both at Colorado Mesa University. Cameron has been on five medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic and was a part time missionary in Spain for four months. She continues to pursue God's calling on her life through the performing arts and by mentoring women. Cameron founded Reverent Rhythms (non profit performing arts company) in 2018 and continues to train the professional company, choreograph and direct the professional productions and oversee all business and ministry operations of Reverent Rhythms. Reverent Rhythms has a school of the arts, professional performance company, along with many community outreach programs including dance classes with: Hilltop the Commons, Clifton Elementary, Fruita Community Center and The Grand Valley City Youth Center.
About Reverent Rhythms
Reverent Rhythms is a 501(c)3 non profit with the state of Colorado that has both a professional dance company and school of arts. The professional dance company is made up of 5 contracted professional dancers that put on full length productions, bringing excellence in the performing arts to the grand valley during. Reverent Rhythms professional company also tours during the summer months. The school of arts holds classes in arts education accessible to ages 18 months - senior citizens in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theater, acrobatics, worship dance, tap, and contemporary. Through the school of the arts, Reverent Rhythms serves marginalized demographics in our community through their New Generation Scholarship program. This program makes excellence in arts education accessible to all demographics. This year Reverent Rhythms is allocating $20,000 in scholarships with the help of supporters and local businesses. Reverent Rhythms also has on going programs with Fruita Community Center, the Grand Valley City Youth Center, Hilltop at the Commons and Clifton Elementary. Reverent Rhythms is the only professional dance company on the Western Slope, the only school of the arts linked to a professional company in our city and the only school of the arts in our city certified with Acrobatics Arts.
